SCIENCE IMAGE Studio 2 NDI Bidirectional 4K SDI/HDMI Encoder/Decoder

The Studio 2 NDI Bidirectional 4K SDI/HDMI Encoder/Decoder from SCIENCE IMAGE integrates frequency conversion and optical transceiver functionalities into a compact device. Serving as an enhanced iteration of NDI Studio 4K.SH, the Studio 2 features an intelligent scroll wheel and boasts widespread application across diverse business settings such as broadcast programs, variety show recordings, large events, and video conferences.

Equipped with both 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs, it accommodates virtually any video signal up to UHD 4K60 and facilitates up and down conversion across 27 formats (from HD to UHD). Its NDI encoding and decoding components efficiently transform SDI or HDMI signals to and from high-bandwidth NDI, ensuring optimal video fidelity over IP networks. Complementing its baseband connections, Studio 2 integrates a high-speed SFP+ optical fiber slot designed for seamless compatibility with the separately available SCIENCE IMAGE T1 12G-SDI fiber transceiver module. With the T1 fiber module installed, Studio 2 can transmit and receive SDI, HDMI, and NDI signals up to 12.4 miles over single mode fiber, offering cross-compatibility with other fiber-enabled devices, including the FLOW 4K, Studio 4K.SH, Studio Edge, Flow Edge, and Vela rack encoders.

To adhere to live broadcasting requirements, Studio 2 integrates a brightly illuminated LED tally bar, 2-way intercom audio, stereo embedded analog audio, and a 1/4″-20 threaded hole for convenient mounting on tripods, cameras, and stands. Additionally, Studio 2 enhances user experience with a 1.3″ OLED display for viewing critical settings.
